They Might be Giants (or a band I listen to)

I love the band They Might Be Giants, they are so fun!!

If class wasn't enough to prove science is real listen to this song, it's called 'Science is Real':

Okay next, remember the Periodic Table? If not you should watch this video!

What I really want is for everyone to know the difference between solids, liquids, and gases. So PLEASE listen to this last song by They Might be Giants and post you're own explanation about how the three states of matter differ.

The Simpsons

Watch the following clip form The Simpsons.

I want you to be able to describe the processes that homer goes through to become a human or what changes he exhibits. Where does Homer start? Where does he finish? Why do you think these changes occur? What else happens during the course of Homer evolving?
Let me know what you think!

Dirty Harry and First Blood

Another week here on the blog. This past weekend I watched some movies, Dirty Harry and First Blood. I know that they are older movies but trust me, they are good ones!
It made me think about physics. If every action has an equal and opposite reaction how come Clint Eastwood and Sylvester Stallone's Rambo barely flinch when they fire bullets that will seconds later knock a villain off his feet.

Check out the one clip below from Dirty Harry:

If you like what you see than the movies next weekend with some friends and see if you understand what I am talking about. What should Eastwood's and Stallone's reaction be when they shoot their gun?
